Phase one of MF Magazine 4.0 was completed in October 2010. This update focused mainly on performance enhancements and included a ground up rebuild of the databases and file structure. We added a lot of administrative features to make the process of editing and adding to the site much easier for the client. 

We also created a custom (nearly) full screen video player. Site administrators can easily create video pages by simply pasting the URL to a Youtube or Vimeo file. The server will then pull all relevant data, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, embed code, etc and create the page all on it's own. Most pages also have the ability to automatically create their own shortened bit.ly or j.mp links (the administrator can choose to have links created or not on a page by page case).

Every page on the site is editable to authenticated administrators. Pages can be created, edited, deleted or even "deactivated" (which hides the page from public view, without actually deleting the any of the data).

On top of performance & backend upgrades, this update also included an improved user interface, added a "Facebook connect" login and other social capabilities.
